Growing Forward 2 Series

  • Equipped with knowledge of your products, ingredients, equipment and manufacturing processes, you will work closely with a food safety advisor to develop a HACCP plan specific to your facility.

    Each participant must choose one product processed in their facility and bring the following information to the workshop:

    • A list of ingredients, packaging materials and processing aids used to manufacture that one product.
    • A list of the process steps used to manufacture that one product.
    • A diagram of your facility layout.

    This training module has previously-been delivered across Ontario by Ontario Ministry Of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and is available in both English and French. The delivery of this training program is funded by Growing Forward 2, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative.

    Information collected for the purposes of program registration and program evaluation will be shared with OMAFRA as part of the Growing Forward 2 funding requirements.  NSF-GFTC acknowledges that Ontario is bound by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (Ontario), as amended from time to time, and that any information provided to Ontario is subject to disclosure in accordance with that Act.  Further, information shared with Canada may be subject to disclosure under the Access to Information Act (Canada).

Cancellation Policy:

Substitutions (in writing) are welcome anytime, but please notify us as soon as possible.

Early Cancellations (more than two weeks prior to the course date):
A refund will be issued for the registration fee paid, less a 25% processing charge.

Late cancellations (less than two weeks prior to the course date):
Refunds cannot be issued for late cancellations.

Program cancellation: GFTC reserves the right to cancel or postpone a program due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this occur, you will be notified as soon as possible. All efforts will be made to notify participants at minimum two weeks before the scheduled event. If GFTC cancels a course, your entire registration fee will be refunded.

Travel:In the event that you are travelling to attend a training program, please purchase travel insurance should the program be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
