Food Safety Funding Available through OMAFRA

Applications for funding through OMAFRA's Growing Forward -- Food Safety and Traceability Initiative are now available.
The program is designed to help food companies:
- Implement a food safety program or a traceability system;
- Make improvements to a recognized food safety program; or
- Improve food safety or traceability.
GFTC can assist your company with the application process. The updated Application Form Version 2.0 and Application Guidebook Version 2.0 are available on the Growing Forward website.
This funding is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Last year, the funding ran out very quickly so be sure to get your applications in on time. Applications will be accepted beginning March 1, 2010, at 9:00 a.m.
Funding can be used toward consulting, auditing and training support from GFTC.
